Subject: Four & 1/2 month update
Hey, our little girl is almost five months old! We called this the
four and a half month update because all the pictures reflect that age.
Our little girl is growing rapidly. At this point the physical growth has slowed, but the mental growth isn't showing any signs of stopping.
Y'know, you sit and watch this beautiful little baby grow up, enjoying every new
development, not realizing that a lot of it is normal. I sat down a couple days ago to read about the developments of a four-month old and our
girl is right on track. She stands, with assistance, she puts everything she can
get her hands on into her mouth, her hair is growing, she is
increasingly aware of her surroundings - our little baby is becoming a girl.
Our girl has decided that she doesn't like to sleep - sort of. See, Anna has specific times every day when she takes her nap, so she gets really
cranky around these times. Mom, realizing that Anna is ready for her nap, nurses her to sleep. Well, Anna, realizing that she's going to be put
to sleep, decides that this must be some sort of competition. Mom wants her to sleep so she REFUSES to go to sleep. Cry, cry, cry. Usually, Mom wins
and Anna falls to sleep, but we have yet to understand why Anna won't go to sleep peacefully. I just want to say, for the record, that Mom has
MUCH
more patience than I do - she is able to peacefully tolerate Anna's wailing until she falls asleep. I picked a good one!
By the way, Michelle's favorite recent picture is the footsie picture which is included. As you can see from the pictures, Anna has graduated from
hand sucking to thumbsucking. Once in a while she'll put two fingers in there, just to chew on. Teeth might be coming soon...
Well, thanks for listening - check out the latest batch of pictures...
